कन्याकुमारी (Kanyakumari) भारत के तमिल नाडु राज्य के कन्याकुमारी ज़िले में स्थित एक नगर है। यह भारत की मुख्यभूमि का दक्षिणतम नगर है। यहाँ से दक्षिण में हिन्द महासागर, पूर्व में बंगाल की खाड़ी और पश्चिम में अरब सागर है। इनके साथ सटा हुआ तट 71.5 किमी तक विस्तारित है।

Kanyakumari is a town in Kanyakumari district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It is the southernmost city of the mainland of India. It is bounded by the Indian Ocean in the south, the Bay of Bengal in the east and the Arabian Sea in the west. The coast along these extends for 71.5 km.

भारत के तमिलनाडु राज्य में भारत की धरती के अंतिम छोर पर स्थित कन्याकुमारी एक खूबसूरत शहर है। यहा अरब सागर, हिन्द महासागर और बंगाल की खाडी का पानी एक दूसरे से आलिंगन करता है। कन्याकुमारी के दर्शनीय स्थल वैसे तो खास प्रसिद्ध नही है। लेकिन समुद्र का किनारा और भारत की धरती का अंतिम छोर होने के साथ साथ कन्याकुमारी वह स्थान है। जहां स्वामी विवेकानंद जी ने योग साधना की थी। इसे “केप कीमोरिन” के नाम से भी जाना जाता है।
History:
Kanyakumari is a beautiful city located at the extreme end of the soil of India in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. Here the waters of the Arabian Sea, the Indian Ocean and the Bay of Bengal embrace each other. The sightseeing places of Kanyakumari are not particularly famous. But along with being the shore of the sea and the end of the land of India, Kanyakumari is that place. Where Swami Vivekananda did yoga practice. It is also known as "Cape Chemorin".
